I was extremely excited for Never Gone to come out. Of course I was, it was Backstreet Boys'
first cd in 5 years! Just imagine. I am sure you all felt the same exasperation. Anyway, my friend Tiffany was over, and she,
my three sisters, and I were sitting around in my living room at 12:00 midnight, too excited to sleep, buzzing about the Never
Gone Cd. All of a sudden, Tiffany blurts out, "I wonder if they have the cd yet at Wal*Mart?" All of our eyes lit up. Tiffany
knew exactly what to do. We looked up the phone number for the Wal*Mart in West Columbia, and they looked but they did not
have it. Our hearts sank a little, but not too much, because there was still the Wal*Mart in Lake Jackson. We called that
Wal*Mart next, and they said they had it. We got incredibly excited, jumping around my living room like maniacs. We rushed
into my moms bedroom and begged her to take us. It took us a long time, but we finally talked her into it.
The whole way to Wal*Mart, we were quiet. We were too excited to say or
do anything. Every now and again someone would say a word, but no more than that. When we got to Wal*Mart, we took off running
across the parking lot, ran through Wal*Mart to the CD section, and waited anticipatedly for them to bring the cds out of
the box. They handed us one, and we started jumping up and down, screaming at the top of our lungs. People who were left in
Wal*Mart walked over to the CD section to see what was going on. One girl looked at her mom and said, "Was I that
bad?" and my mom turns and looks at her and says, "This is the first CD they've had in five years, of course they're going
to be this way." They gave us 6 cds, and we payed for them and listened to them all the way home. We learned all the songs
in a few days. We were the first ever to buy the cd, because we bought it at one o'clock on the morning, the day before it
came out. How awesome is that! I'll never forget that day!
