May 2, 2006: I've been a born-again Christian since I was eight years old and I've known for a very long time that this has been my calling. I hope to reach listeners in this arena and continue to let Backstreet Boys fans know that it's okay to stand for what you believe in. If I can do something that opens doors and benefits lives in some way, I hope to be able to do that. Why now? It's God's timing. I really think that God has led me on a path for the past thirteen years to prepare me for this project." - Brian Littrell on "Welcome Home"

June 26, 2006: I have some of the worst news in the world. Although, it could be worse, this is pretty bad. According to Nick, AJ, Brian, and Howie, Kevin Richardson is leaving the Backstreet Boys. Following is a statement from them.

“Earlier this year, after much soul searching, Kevin Richardson came to us and told us that he had decided to leave the group and pursue other interests. He gave his blessing to continue the music without him.

We have no intention of replacing Kevin, and the door will always be open for him to return to the Backstreet Boys. We wish him the all the best in his future endeavors.

This weekend we are returning to the studio to begin the follow-up to Never Gone, and will see you later this year with a new album.”

Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and AJ McLean

Following is a statement from Kevin.

“After 13 years of what can only be described as a dream come true, I have decided that it is time to leave the Backstreet Boys. It was a very tough decision for me but one that was necessary in order to move on with the next chapter of my life. Howard, Brian, Alex and Nick will always be my little brothers and have my utmost love and support. I would like to thank the Backstreet fans for all the beautiful memories we have shared together and look forward to including you in the next phase of my life. I wish my brothers continued success and look forward to their new album.”

Kevin

Although this is some of the saddest news, the good thing is that they WILL NOT replace Kevin. It would not be the same with a new "Kevin" just as it's not going to be the same without him. But I am praying and hoping that he will change his mind. The only good news from this is they're not replacing Kevin, and they're going back into the studio on Friday. Best of luck to them all, especially Kevin. Love ya guys very much!

July 15, 2006: I just found out, and I regret to inform all Backstreet Fans that Brian Littrell's Aunt Bonnie has passed away from Cancer. Let us all pray for Brian and his family in this difficult time. May Aunt Bonnie rest in peace.

December 30, 2006: Bobbie Jean (BJ) Carter has posted a blog on her MySpace hinting that there MIGHT be a second season of HOC! Here's what it said: Hey everybody! Its a beautiful day today isn't it? We should all be greatful for everyday we have on this earth. I certainly am. You know life isn't always easy, and sometimes I ask myself what my purpose is. Well I have come to realize that life is to short to analize every little thing. So instead I just let it be what its going be. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful family. And a great man in my life. Sometimes we lose sight of whats real and whats not. You know what's real to me, LOVE!!!!!! I love life I love my family, my boyfriend, and I love all you guys! All my fans are such an inspiration. You guys make me want to be a better person. I am looking forward to doing another season and showing each of you how much I have grown in such a short time. I am going to be starting culinary school in the beginning of the year, and I am working on a book. I want everyone to know how I became the person I am today. It has taken a long time but now I can honsetly say, I love myself.

Since it's Winter, here's a fun video for all of you! Backstreet Boys on Ice!

March 20, 2007: Backstreet Boys are officially finished with their new album - well, all except one song. They will hopfully release their cd in Spring - that is what they are aiming for. Howie Dorough said it himself. Also, AJ will be releasing a new cd in Spring as well - solo, no doubt! He said he will do small concert type things after the Backstreet Shows and hopefully do his own tour after Backstreet Boys' tour is over. More news coming soon!

June 25, 2007: Hey there Backstreet Fans:
I'm doing some digging, looking for new info on the new album.. or anything pertaining to our Boys really.. and I came across this little tid bit.. let me know what you guys think:

Question
Any updated info on the Backstreet Boys 2007 tour? They said " early spring/summer of 2007"...I'm getting ancy.

Answer
There is still nothing available on that, they have pushed it back to sometime in the fall or winter...they are having problems finishing the record and getting the label to release it,mostly because they are not nearly as popular as they once were and their last album according to the label was considered a flop and now that there is only 4 members and the last album flopped the label is hesitant to release the album now because they do not want to lose a lot of money
